Curry, Turbulence & Time Travel Thursday!

Our first hurdle was the massive stairway to the elevated metro station not the pleasant meander we expected, but we were on our way after the Dubai adventure.

Some hours in advance of our flight someone decided it was time to try and get forty winks in preparation of the travel day ahead.

An hour or so into the 4am flight and it was breakfast time, not sure biryani works at 5.30am, nevertheless it was a grand little feast until a sudden patch of turbulence splattered curry all over me.

Helen’s disgust was immediate: 'That is why you have a serviette!' followed by the requisite eye rolls. Disowned again!
Waking just before landing in Kuala Lumpur, the eight hours in the sky had pushed us four hours further down the road a brand new, slightly confusing experience for Two’s Company.

As I write, it is already time to head to the gate for the second flight. Mentally, I am ready for lunch, but thanks to the time-shift, it will officially be teatime when we take off. We still cannot quite get our heads around this 'time travel' phenomenon!
Arriving in Bali, the drive from the airport was an education: scooters amassed from every angle on narrow roads that felt like a complete maze, not unlike traveling through Marrakesh.

Helen could not resist a quick look from the balcony, for the next couple of dates, a bit of exploring, feet up and maybe a massage are on the cards. Tired after our mammoth last 36 hours, it is time to call it a day!
