Kortrijk Belgium

Back on track, we arrived in Kortrijk late afternoon Thursday and enjoyed a pleasant stroll to the centrum. 

We were surprised by the number of people and the buzz in the central square as it opened up before us, laid out with beach sand volleyball courts, with local teams trying out the surface before the ladies’ Belgian tour qualifier began on Saturday.

What better way but to enjoy the sunshine and watch the fun of the square than to take an outside seat at a cafe table. 

Later we decided to try Ethiopian food, inspired by some fabulous reviews, we made our way to Habesh a little restaurant close to where we were staying. 

Stunningly presented and full of flavour, it inspired to check out where we might find similar culinary delights back home.  (Apparently in Manchester and Leeds!)
