Setting off for day trip number two and not too early, Monday afternoon đ was a little more relaxed. The train journey to the Bavarian capital was a mere thirty minutes.
Munich is busy, itâs large and with it comes that big city buzz. It wasnât long before we realised much of it had been rebuilt following the destruction of the second world war. Churches and the cathedral rebuilt to their former glory with only some buildings remaining as they once were. The devastating effect of war on all countries truly catastrophic and sad. The flags of Ukraine around to remind us that as humans, we still have a long way to goâŠ

The Rathaus was magnificent and its clock tower with a parading and dancing ornate mechanism accompanied by the chimes and bells was enchanting, a real highlight not to be missed.
Munich is a city we will probably return to one day, perhaps Oktoberfest, who knows?

đđ No rest for the wicked! Actually had a 7 hour train journey today, so that was quite restful. James fell asleep as usual! đx
