Switzerland an afternoon and evening in Zermatt

What an incredible day from Italy into Switzerland. Winding through picturesque villages with non-stop views of mountains, a journey to remember.

Being stopped by the police, who wanted to check our passports was a little surprising to say the least.  Think we must have looked a tad shifty with our rucksacks and bag of goodies for the trip 😂 hardly Bonny & Clyde and doubtful candidates for The Italian Job part 2.

Zermatt with its backdrop of the Matterhorn is stunning, its scale and grandeur dominating the skyline in the sunshine and yet at the same time threatening and daunting.

Our appetites have been prepared for tomorrow’s trip on the Glacier Express as we travel in style to St Moritz.
