The Glacier Express to St Moritz

7.00am breakfast with a view which was simply remarkable, treated to the Matterhorn turning from snowy white to golden yellow as the sun came up over the mountains. A sight we will never forget and all before the days adventure really began.

The train was simply lovely as was the food on route, our feast taking two hours to complete almost as quick as the express train itself 😂

To be perfectly honest the scenery was stunning from start to end and after 8 hours the arrival in St Moritz was a bit of an anticlimax. Are we disappointed with St Moritz? A little as it doesn’t have the same atmosphere or alpine buzz of Zermatt.

Having said that so very interesting to see images of the bobsleighers over the years and read about the history of the Cresta Run.

Tomorrow we head back to Italy and Lake Como where we intend to put our feet up and enjoy some walking.
